Exhibiting at this years hillhead 2016
Hillhead has long been distinguished for being one of the most premier exhibitions of its kind, but more than this, it has the added distinction of showcasing live demonstrations for various types of equipment in no less than a quarry (the Hillhead Quarry, namely). This equipment is put through a variety of paces and allowed to showcase its best performance, and the sight is definitely enough to draw a vast crowd.
PREPARATIONS FOR HILLHEAD 2016 UNDERWAY
Well, Hillhead 2016 is fast approaching (only a few days away, in fact – the opening is on the 28th of June, and the exhibition will run until the 30th of June, 2016), and the work for Hillhead 2016 is almost complete. You will be able to find us on Stand S4.
This year the showground has been extended in order to accommodate more exhibitions and make way for more live demonstrations. A total of approximately 16,000 tonnes of various materials have already been dug up and excavated from a particular area so the organisers can create just a little less than 2,000 square metres of extra space for exhibitors and demonstrations for Hillhead 2016. This additional area will be located near the site’s southern end, near the exhibit of JCB.
The director of the Hillhead show, Mr. Richard Bradbury, has recently stated that there is actually a waiting list for outdoor exhibition space. He mentions that they (the organisers) are all happy to be able to bring in more exhibitors and accommodate the high demand for the outdoor area. Additionally, Mr. Bradbury says that there are now two points of access that have been developed in order to maximise the flow of visitors – one area located opposite from the JCB exhibit, and another situated near the aisle occupied by the exhibit of Invest Northern Ireland. Furthermore, Mr. Bradbury mentions that the interest of participants for more indoor space has increased as well. Incidentally, the event’s main pavilion is already almost full to bursting, so the organisers have also increased the allocation for the registration pavilion.
MORE ON THE LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS AT HILLHEAD 2016
It can, without a doubt, be said that what makes Hillhead stand out is its live demos. Visitors and participants have the unique opportunity to see various equipment and plant do a real showcase of their power and capabilities. Hillhead has assigned a total of four areas for demonstration for the event, and, what’s more, exhibitors will not be charged for demonstrating their equipments’ capabilities, unless the exhibitor requests particular arrangements.
All the live demonstrations will, of course, be under the complete supervision and control of the Hillhead organisers, and will be operated according to various important regulations, especially for quarries.
Most of the demonstrations at Hillhead will include the use of large excavators, hydraulic breakers, articulated and rigid dump trucks, wheel loaders with buckets sized 4 metres and above, crushers, scalping grids, conveyors for stockpiling, and washing and shredding equipment, among others. We'll be exhibiting Sumitomo and Ammann machines amongst others. Visitors and exhibitors can look forward to a series of demonstrations on quarry faces, rock processing, recycling, and more. Major exhibitors featuring equipment at the event will include such heavyweights as Caterpillar, JCB, Volvo, Hyundai, Doosan, Komatsu, Hitachi, and a lot more. Those who are interested in visiting Hillhead 2016 can register at the Hillhead 2016 site for their free visitor’s pass.
We look forward to seeing you there.
